What pets is PerioRex for?
PerioRex Pet is currently formulated for small companion animals aged 3 years and older — the demographic where periodontal disease begins to take hold. Most pets show signs of gum disease by age 3, and small breeds are at higher risk due to crowded teeth and longer lifespans. A dedicated feline formulation is in development.
What format is the product?
A once-daily chewable biscuit that pets eat as a treat — no pilling, no mixing into food, no resistance. 60 biscuits per container provides an 8-week supply.
How does it work?
The PerioRex Propolis + Mangosteen complex supports gum tissue health by targeting key biomarkers — PGE₂, IL-1β, MMP-8, and MMP-9 — identified in our randomized clinical trial. It's a systemic approach: it works from the inside, unlike topical treatments that only address surface bacteria.
How long until results are visible?
Our 8-week randomized clinical trial showed significant biomarker improvement by week 4 and continued progress through week 8. For pets, daily use over several weeks is recommended for measurable benefit.
Is it safe alongside other medications?
